TERRY LACOUTURE Terry David Lacouture, 59, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012. Terry was born to Harold F. and JoAnn Gooch Lacouture in Cambridge, England, May 1, 1953, while his father was stationed there. He grew up in east Texas, then attended high school in California, where he graduated from Capuchino. After high school, he attended Brigham Young University and participated in the Army ROTC program. While at BYU, he met his sweetheart, Becky Deneese Emerson. They were married Nov. 22, 1974, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary the day before his death. Terry graduated with a bachelor of science degree in August 1975. Shortly after graduation, he was commissioned into the U.S. Army and served honorably for 12 years, acquiring the rank of captain. After leaving the military, he and his family moved to Las Vegas, where they have resided since. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Viewing will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, with services following at 3 p.m. at the LDS Church building, 7800 W. Alta. Burial will be at 1:20 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Harold F. Lacouture; and nephew, Justin Lacouture. He is survived by his mother, JoAnn Lacouture; wife, Becky; children, Rachel (John) Terry, Stacy (Justin) LeFevre, Brian (Ann) Lacouture, and David Lacouture; and siblings, Marty, Chuck, Cary, Mary Lou, and John Lacouture. Terry was "Po" to 12 grandchildren.
