THEODORE MILLER Dr. Theodore Miller, 88, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 29, 2012. Ted was born in Chicago, to Alex and Rose Miller. He served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Northern Illinois College of Optometry. A 16-year resident of Sun City Summerlin, Ted was known to many as the "Mayor of Sun City." He enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, family, friends and his many "desserts." He was very active in the community serving on many committees, clubs, his congregation, and presided as President of a B'Nai Brith and the Sun City Jewish Friendship Club for many years. His great smile, humor, and easy-going demeanor made him a friend to everyone. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all whose lives he touched. He is survived by his wife, of 64 years, Zelda; children, Reed Miller (Michele Feinstein) and Shelli Miller of Las Vegas, and Dr. Aubrey (Tracey); grandchildren, Joelle and Edan Miller of Maryland; sister, Nancy Marcus (Erwin deceased) of Illinois, and Lorraine and Jay Lucas of California. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Palm Cemetery-Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas. In lieu of shiva, please join us in celebrating his amazing spirit and life at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, at the Lakeside Events Center, 2620 Regatta Drive #102, Las Vegas, 89128.
