THOMAS CAMARDA Thomas Michael Camarda, a retired television executive, passed away Oct. 9, 2012. Son of Mary Nicoletti and William Camarda, he was born Sept. 26, 1934, in New York City, where he grew up. He was a 14-year resident of Las Vegas. He served in the U.S. Navy, based at the Brooklyn Navy Yard during the Korean War. After military service, he graduated in 1960 from Saint John's University with a BA in business administration. He became a career television executive, in New York, Boston, and Los Angeles for over 40 years, his longest tenure being with RKO Television. Tom was loved by all who knew him. He was witty and clever with a winning smile. He was a film buff, jazz enthusiast, Yankees fan, loved to travel, a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by wife, Patricia Bryan; and brother, William Camarda. He is survived by his wife, of 26 years, Virginia Mann Camarda; and by his two children, Michele Camarda Willing and her husband, Nick Willing of London, England, and Thomas Michael Camarda Jr. and his wife, Tabitha Erhardt Camarda, of Los Angeles. He is further survived by four grandchildren, Madison Mae Willing and Darcey Camarda Willing of London, and Marlon Thomas Camarda and Roman Michael Camarda of Los Angeles. He also leaves behind his nephews, William Camarda and Kent Hovercamp; niece, Alexis Camarda, all of New York; as well as first cousins, Mary McFadden-Lamberg, John and Jim McFadden, with whom he grew up in New York. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, in the Mater Dei Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89128. Burial arrangements are pending.
