 VIOLA SIERRA Viola Ruth Sierra, "Tootie," went home to be with our Lord Dec. 10, 2012. Her parents were Clyde Raymond Knudson and Clara Violet Norris. She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa Nov. 11, 1938. She was a resident of Pahrump for 14 years, coming from Las Vegas. Ruth worked as a drapery specialist for a number of years. She also enjoyed playing tennis and golf. She was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Gallegos. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Sierra Jr., of 21 years; sister, Shirley Ann Diaz; children, Raymond Gallegos, Rayma Kimball, Rochelle Mish, Deborah Meighan, Katherine Lantz, Rebecca Parylak and Jerry Parylak; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 21, at Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road, Pahrump.
