VIRGIL QUINN Virgil Eugene Quinn, "Gene," 82, a retired meteorologist, of Las Vegas, passed away Nov. 26, 2012. He was born June 26, 1930, in Hemet, Calif., and was a 46-year resident of Nevada. Gene moved to Las Vegas from Los Angeles in August 1966. He was an aerographer's mate second-class in the U.S. Navy, a graduate of UCLA, and a retiree of the Weather Service Nuclear Support Office under AEC. He loved golf, fishing and jazz. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frankie Mae Ferguson Quinn; stepfather, Jack Quinn; and grandparents, Ethel and George Moffitt. He is survived by his wife, of 55 years, Jenon; their children, Andra, Patrick and Shannon; their grandchildren, Lyndsey, Jacob and Josh; his sisters, Lelani, Harvey and Jackie McKee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
