VIRGINIA GERGEL Virginia Gergel, 90, a retired chemistry teacher, of Henderson, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2012. She was born May 7, 1922, in Indiana, and was a resident of Nevada since 1994. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Jean Tominov of Henderson, and Janet Legere of Springfield, Mo.; son, John (Diane) Gergel of Henderson; brother, Roger (Jane) Newcomb of Indiana; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway.
