 VIRGINIA HESCH Virginia L. Hesch passed away in Las Vegas, Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013. She was born May 5, 1931, the daughter of Edward M. and Margaret Martin Dexter and stepdaughter of Katherine Nulph Dexter. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William H. Hesch; her son, Jon Dexter Zawacki; and sister, Patricia Clifton. She is survived by one sister, Beverly Wilson; her children, Sherri (Jack) Kobielski of Lancaster, N.Y., Victoria Schmader, David (Sally) Zawacki and Teresa (Curtis) Whisman, all of Henderson; stepchildren, Debbie Williams, Patrick Hesch and Timothy Hesch; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Ginnie was a 1949 graduate of Warren High School. She received an associate's degree from Jamestown Community College. She was employed at GTE and California Regional Disabilities Center. There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Boulder City. Her favorite words were, "I had a wonderful husband and children and lived a good life. I am a fortunate woman."
