1940 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
MSGT. WALLACE EASTMAN U.S. Air Force, Retired Wallace "Wally" Myron Eastman, 76, passed away suddenly, June 19, 2017, at home in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 7, 1940 in Mapleton, Iowa to Dewey Aileen (nee Matteson) Eastman. Wally was a retired Master Sargent from the U.S. Air Force and worked as a contractor, selling guns and missiles for the U.S. Navy. He also taught computer science at Riverside Community College. Wally was complex guy who loved traveling around the world with the love of his life, Hannah. He was a member of two model railroad clubs in Las Vegas as well as a member of the Greater Las Vegas Orchid Society. He loved growing orchids and gardening, and was a wonderful photographer taking many images in his travels around the world. His other loves that he shared with Hannah were theater, cooking classes and Broadway music. They spent the month of January in Honolulu and July in San Diego doing the things they loved. Among Wally's survivors are his sister, Edna Junius of Scottsdale, AZ.; brother, Frank of Costa Mesa, Calif.; love partner, Hannah Jablin; love pops of Glenn Jablin and Jadah Jablin; cousins, Catalina (Cathy) Robbins (Fahad), Lupe Martinez (Juan) and Diana Robbins (Eric). Memorial Service will be at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89101. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a future time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wally's name may be made to the Greater Las Vegas Orchid Society (GLVOS.com), Signature Productions of Las Vegas, Southern Memorial Musical Arts Society or the Performing Arts Society (PAS) of Las Vegas. Wally will be greatly missed.
