 REV. DR. WILLIE WATSON Rev. Dr. Willie Elder Watson, 77, of North Las Vegas, passed away July 12, 2012. He was a retired staff sergeant for the U.S. Air Force, an entrepreneur, and a minister. He was born Sept. 21, 1934, in Athens, Ga., to Nealy Mae Watson and Mark Elder. He was loved and cherished by his family and friends for his selflessness, strong work ethic and wonderful sense of humor. He will be remembered for his undying love of God and his desire to spread the gospel through his ministry. Survivors include his wife, Mary Watson; eight children; two sisters, Clara Mae Robinson Thomas and Bennie Mae Robinson McKinley; and one brother, Charles Robinson. Fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren are his legacy. Viewing will be noon-1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, with services following, both at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams St., Las Vegas. Burial will be at 9:20 a.m. Monday, July 23, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.
