SO2 ALEXANDER GHANE U.S. Navy Seals, Active Duty Special Warfare Operator, Second Class Alexander "Champ" Ghane, 22, of Las Vegas, died Jan. 30, 2008. He was born July 21, 1985, in Los Angeles. He was a 2004 Sierra Vista High School graduate. After 9-11, he was committed to defending and serving his country. Alexander decided to join Special Operations in the U.S. Navy, where he joined the nation's most elite fighting force. He enjoyed the fellowship of his teammates and making them laugh, lightening the mood. He was determined and humble, respectful and humorous, and greatly loved by all of those he has touched throughout his life. Alexander was an all around great son, brother, friend and teammate who will be deeply missed by all. He was preceded in death by his father, Shapoor, who passed on Christmas day in 2004. Left to cherish his memory is his loving mother, Farideh Ghane; and his sister, Tala Ghane, both of Las Vegas. Alexander is also survived by his half-sister, Marina (Eric) Holland; his grandparents; aunts; uncles; and a niece.
