JOSEPH TOMANINI Joseph Arthur "Joe" Tomanini, 49, a shop foreman, passed away Oct. 8, 2009. He was born Dec. 4, 1959, to Richard and Gloria Tomanini, in Northbridge, Mass., where he spent 14 years of his childhood growing up with his siblings, Richard, Lawerence, Louis, Debra, David, William and Gloria. At the age of 14, he moved to Las Vegas, where he resided for 35 years and became well-known in the tile and marble industry for over 20 years. He married his soulmate, Xelda Gunter July 31, 1988, and together they embarked on a lifelong journey of family, friends and memories. Joe's favorite pastimes were NASCAR, NHRA and fishing, as well as providing his family and friends with support and laughter. Joe was a generous, tolerant, strong, positive, patient, friendly, outgoing, humble, lovable and funny man. He was extremely loyal to his many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria and Richard Tomanini; brothers, Lawerence and William; and nephew, Richard. Joe is survived by his wife, of 21 years, Xelda Tomanini; siblings, sisters, Debra Sylvestre (Roger) and Gloria Andreachi; brothers, Richard, Louis and David; nieces, Tracey, Stacy, Sarah, Tammy, Christine, Roxanne, Brandy and Lacey; nephews, Chad, Anthony, David, William, Jacob, Shane and Dashelle; and don't forget his loyal furry buddies, Navajo, Precious and Booties. Service will be at noon Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123, (702) 464-8500.
