Isadore DiMaria Obituary
ISADORE DIMARIA Isadore "Izzy Marion" DiMaria, 77, of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010. He was born June 23, 1932, in Detroit, and was a resident of Nevada since 1960. Isadore was a retired hairdresser to the stars and served in the United State Navy during the Korean War. He was the founder of the Association of Italian Catholics, member of the Bishop Gorman Community and longtime American Legion baseball coach for over 30 years and loved working with children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Christine Marion; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Mary Marion; and nephews, Tommy and Jerry Matteucci. He is survived by his daughter, Gina Marion (Rodney); son, Gino DiMaria (Holly); sisters, Josephine (David), Modestine, Anna and Theresa (Lino); brothers, Sam (Karen); brother, Tony (Peggy); niece, Tina; nephew, Andy (Julie); and grandchildren, Ashlie, Alxandrea, Taylor, Isabella, Chase and Mason. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, March 26, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at St. Viator's Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
