Vanessa Carroll Obituary
VANESSA CARROLL Vanessa Louise Carroll (Unger) passed away July 27, 2010. She was born in Patuxent River, Md., to James and Elizabeth Unger. She grew up on the West Coast, moving to Northern Idaho (Naples) as a young child where her love of animals and the mountains began. Vanessa graduated in 1986 from Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest, Calif., and started her career at the local credit union where she met her husband, John, of 17 years. During their 17 years together they lived in Ridgecrest, Calif., Las Vegas, Broomfield, Colo., and recently in Austin, Texas. She continued in her career to become an assistant director of the TALX Corporation. Vanessa had a genuinely sweet and kind personality that endeared her to all she met. She has many close lifelong friends. Vanessa was preceded in death by her father, James; and sister, Terry Louise. She is survived by her husband, John; mother, Elizabeth; brothers, Danny, Jim, Greg, Steve and Dale; sisters, Lynn, Cindy, Valerie and Yvonne; and 22 nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for all the support and comfort given by the TALX Corporation and by those who worked with and knew Vanessa. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1350 E. Pebble Road, Las Vegas, NV 89123. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Rocky Mountain National Park at www.RMNA.org, one of Vanessa's favorite places.
