 JOHN HANSEN John Alfred Hansen, 79, passed away Nov. 3, 2010. Born May 3, 1931, in Fond du Lac, Wis. He moved to Nevada in 1950, serving in the U.S. Air Force at Nellis AFB. He worked in Henderson for Timet, Stauffer Chemical and Post Transportation and then retired from Hoover Dam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Marcella Hansen; two of his children, Johnny and Danielle Hansen; one grandchild, Jerry Hansen; and one great-grandchild, Andrew Hansen. "Smilin' Jack from Fond du Lac" will be missed by his surviving sisters, Beverly (Kenneth) Fisher of Fond du Lac, and Bernice Bown of Denver; children, Rita Riemer, Stuart Hansen and Marcie Hansen; daughters-in-law, Debbie Rossi (formerly of Stuart) and April Hansen (of Johnny); grandchildren, Jason Hansen, Courtney Riemer, Joshua (and Kara) Hansen, Ashley Riemer, Maile Hansen, Jessica Hansen, Jacqueline Hansen and Tonja Haugen-Hansen; eight great-grandchildren; and many friends he made while here. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway in Henderson.
