Harold Carr Obituary
HAROLD CARR Beloved husband, son, father, grandfather and brother, Harold L. Carr, 65, entered into rest Dec. 16, 2010, in Bremerton, Wash., the city of his birth. Harold was a proud military veteran, serving for over 25 years, including during Vietnam, retiring as a senior master sergeant, also being a first sergeant in the U.S. Air Force in 1985. He owned and operated Indian Springs Towing in Amargosa Valley, where he resided, as an approved AAA contractor for 25 years. He was a big-hearted man with a love of family, friends and hot rods. Harold was amazingly generous, he often befriended strangers and offered them work and shelter. He cared deeply about people and will be remembered for his compassion and love. Treasuring Harold's memory are his wife, Jacqueline (Martin) Carr of Amargosa Valley; mother, Lena Francis Cullen of Bremerton; children, Rhonda Hanssen (Alan) of Salem, Ore., Tina Moden (Scott) of Henderson, Heather Peters (Jered) of Las Vegas, and Michael Barstow of Amargosa Valley; grandchildren, Andrew, Karissa, Jessica, Kacie, Kara Lynn, Nathaniel and Kaitlyn; brothers, Gene Carr of Arlington, Wash., and Bob Cullen (Sandy) of Port Orchard, Wash.; and sister, Kathy Slater (Doug) of Bremerton. Viewing will be from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway. Graveside service will follow at 1:20 p.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. See also www.palmmortuary.com
