Obituary Condolences

JOHN KING II John Ralph King II, 60, of Boulder City, passed away May 14, 2011. Although "accidentally" born in Flagstaff, Ariz., June 8, 1950, Ralph was a native of Nevada and grew up in Boulder City. When he married his wife, of 40 years, Sharon, they moved to Henderson and ultimately Las Vegas. He joined the Clark County Fire Department in 1977, where he worked his way up through the ranks to become the Deputy Fire Chief. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, mentor, and great friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ralph King and Maureen King. He is survived by his wife, Sharon King; children, Jennifer (Brian) Hanna, Kami (Brian) Larsen and Ralph (Cristin) King; four loving granddaughters, Lily, Addie, Audrey and Sloan; sisters, Martha Steeves of Prescott, Ariz., Karen (Jack) Duffee of Hermiston, Ore., and Louise King-Thompson of Eugene, Ore.; and many extended family members whom he was happy to share his life with. Memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Green Valley United Methodist Church, 2200 Robindale Road, Henderson, NV 89074.
