MARY BRUMLEY Mary Louise "Sugar" Brumley, 68, of Las Vegas, passed away suddenly Wednesday night, Aug. 17, 2011. She was born March 20, 1943, in Tulsa, Okla., and was a 54-year resident of Nevada. Mary battled lung cancer since November 2008. Prior to having cancer, Mary battled for years with a rare auto-immune disease, Behcet's Syndrome. Her suffering has finally come to an end. She is at peace now with our Heavenly Father. Mary never lost her will to live or her since of humor. Mary was a very kind, loving, and generous person. When Mary first arrived to Las Vegas in February 1957, she worked as a change girl for one of the casinos, she was only 14 years old. She then went on to the Hilton Hotel & Casino for several years. She retired from the Stardust Hotel & Casino, she worked in the Lido Show room. Mary was a very special woman. She was kind to everyone. Mary will forever live in our hearts and one day we will be reunited with her in the Kingdom of Heaven. Mary will be missed dearly. "We Love You Mama Bear!" Mary was preceded in death by her stepfather, Stanley Hyman; grandmother, Pearl Andrews; and grandfather, Leslie Butler Ragland. Mary is survived by her mother, Nellie A. Hyman; daughter, Gina L. Sando-Minnozzi; son-in-law, Bruce D. Minnozzi; uncle, William Ragland; stepdaughter, Deborah Galindo and her husband, Richard; great-niece, Tina Galindo-Sullivan; great-great-niece, Morgan Sullivan; and her best friend, Kathlene Wilson. Viewing will be from 10:30 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Aug. 27, with services following, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
