 DORIS GRAD Doris E. Grad, loving wife and mother, passed away July 2, 2012 at Desert Springs Hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1937 in Springfield, Ill., to parents John and Dorothy Bryant. She graduated from Springfield High School, worked at Franklin Life Ins. Co., then moved to Las Vegas in 1959. She worked at the Sands Hotel for 25 years. before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John R. and William C. Bryant; and her husband, of 48 years, Jack Grad, who passed away Oct. 10, 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Alison Grad; three sisters, Marilyn Worthington, Sharon Hofmann of Las Vegas, and Janet Peter of Rochester, Ill.; and brother, James F. Bryant of Las Vegas; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at noon, Monday July 16, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, where she will be next to her husband.
