EDLA KEELE Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Edla Anne Humphrey Keele, returned to her Father in Heaven Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Edla was born Sept. 17, 1936, in Salina, Utah. In 1954, she was married to Melvin Richard Keele. They had two daughters and two sons. In 1962, they moved to Las Vegas. Edla taught school in Clark County for 29 years, influencing the lives of thousands of children with her intelligence, love, and humor. Her greatest legacy was her testimony of the Savior. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many capacities. She and her husband, Mel, served a mission at the Bishop's Storehouse in Las Vegas, and worked at the Las Vegas temple. Edla is survived by her beloved eternal companion, Mel Keele; her four children and their spouses, Christina and Cody Wilkins of Henderson, M. Richard and Tammy Keele of Provo, Utah, Joan and Delmar Leatham of Logandale, and Tom and Rhonda Keele of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren; 14 grandchildren-in-law; and 23 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 14, at the Beaver, Utah Stake Center.
