iconROBERT BLUM Beloved brother, uncle and great-uncle, Robert Jay Blum, 91, of Henderson, passed away July 22, 2012. He was born Oct. 1, 1920 in South Bend, Ind., and was a 38-year resident of Nevada. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a sportscaster. A public memorial service is being planned for 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, at Cashman Field. Private services for family and friends already took place. He was the voice of the UNLV Lady Running Rebels and the Las Vegas 51's. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Max and Esther Blum. He is survived by his brother, Jack Blum; sister, Bettylee Balsam; nieces and nephews, Karen Blum, Lesley and Barry Gold, Ron and Debbie Blum; Neil Balsam; and countless friends and admirers all over the world.
