Ida Martinez Rodriguez, age 89, passed away on February 7, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV. Ida was born on August 30, 1929 in Fort Morgan, CO; grew up in Denver, CO; and went to West High School. Ida moved to Las Vegas with her husband Roy Valero Rodriguez and five children in 1963. Ida was a hairdresser and had great fashion sense. She owned Ida’s Hair Fashions as well as Her Majesty Boutique in Downtown Las Vegas. Ida won frequently at bingo, was a talented dancer, enjoyed puzzles and game shows, was passionate about music, and loved to share how proud she was of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ida will live on through her children Earl Rodriguez, Christine Worrell, Gary Rodriguez, Loretta Kirkpatrick, and Loraine Acheson; sisters Genevieve Martinez and Josephine Berton; brother Julio Martinez; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and countless loving family members and friends that were blessed to know her. Ida joined Roy, her husband of 56 years at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV and her family held a celebration in her honor.
