COL. JERRY LIVINGSTON U.S. Air Force, Retired Col. Jerry Dale Livingston, U.S. Air Force (ret.), passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was a true officer and gentleman, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was born July 10, 1932, in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife, of 51 years, Jimmye Lou Livingston. Jerry is survived by his five children; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was in the initial cadre (61TCS/17TCS) that operated C-130D (ski model) aircraft from Sondrestrom AB, Greenland to the Greenland icecap during the period March 1959-February 1963. Jerry's assignments include the 314TCW Sewart AFB, TN, 64/516 TCW Dyess AFB VA, 316 TCW Langley AFB VA, 504TASG Bien Hoa AB Vietnam, Headquarters Tactical Air Command Langley AFB, VA, Alaska Command Headquarters Elmendorf AFB, AK, 314MAW Little Rock AFB, AR, Headquarters Military Airlift Command Scott AFB, IL, USAF Airlift Center Pope AFB, NC and 4440TFTG (Red Flag) Nellis AFB, NV. He retired from the Air Force in July 1986, with the rank of colonel. His last assignment was the Military Airlift Command Liaison to Red Flag at Nellis AFB, NV. During this assignment, he was given the responsibility of establishing and conducting the Military Airlift Command's "Combat Aircrew Training School" (CATS). Memorial service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 16, at 9:30am at Crawford Family Funeral Home, 610 NW 178th St., in Edmond, OK 73012, (405) 340-2333. Burial service, with full military honors, will follow at 1 p.m., at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.
