JOAN GALLAGHER Joan Arlene Gallagher, 87 passed away peacefully at home April 1, 2019. Born and raised in Trenton, N.J., she graduated from Trenton High School and lived in many places including Ewing Township, N.J., Levittown, PA, Hudson, FL, and Las Vegas, NV. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wonderful friend who was dearly loved. She retired from Keats Ford as a bookkeeper before moving to Florida. In retirement, she maintained a vibrant and busy social life with her friends as well as enjoying time with her grandchildren. Always active, Joan's second career was as an assistant pre-kindergarten teacher, a job she truly loved and cherished until she moved to Las Vegas after her husband passed. She met wonderful new friends as a volunteer at Saint Rose Sienna Hospital and by traveling with Las Vegas Voyagers. Joan was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Nevada and New Jersey for more than 30 years. Daughter of the late William Buckley and Barbara Buckley (Nemeth), Joan is preceded in death by her husband, James Gallagher; son, Gary Fink; brothers, William and Elwood Buckley; and grandson, Jeremy Miller. Joan is survived by her loving children, Cyndi Gilbreth and husband, Ken, Scott Gallagher and wife, Dawn; grandchildren, Jeff Runion, Brett Runion and wife, Alisha and Melissa Gallagher; and great-granddaughter, Tallianna Richy-Miller. Additional family includes nephew, Wayne; nieces, Lynda, Patricia, Monica and Michelle; and two great-nieces, Chelsea and Lexi. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the in Joan's name. Two celebrations of life will be in Las Vegas and in New Jersey at later dates. Family and friends will be notified when arrangements are finalized. The cremation will be in Las Vegas, and her final resting place will be next to her husband, James, at the Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing N.J. Love you mom!! See you on the other side.
