JOAN GALLAGHER Joan Arlene Gallagher, 87 passed away peacefully at home April 1, 2019. Born and raised in Trenton, N.J., she graduated from Trenton High School and lived in many places including Ewing Township, N.J., Levittown, PA, Hudson, FL, and Las Vegas, NV. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wonderful friend who was dearly loved. She retired from Keats Ford as a bookkeeper before moving to Florida. In retirement, she maintained a vibrant and busy social life with her friends as well as enjoying time with her grandchildren. Always active, Joan's second career was as an assistant pre-kindergarten teacher, a job she truly loved and cherished until she moved to Las Vegas after her husband passed. She met wonderful new friends as a volunteer at Saint Rose Sienna Hospital and by traveling with Las Vegas Voyagers. Joan was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Nevada and New Jersey for more than 30 years. Daughter of the late William Buckley and Barbara Buckley (Nemeth), Joan is preceded in death by her husband, James Gallagher; son, Gary Fink; brothers, William and Elwood Buckley; and grandson, Jeremy Miller. Joan is survived by her loving children, Cyndi Gilbreth and husband, Ken, Scott Gallagher and wife, Dawn; grandchildren, Jeff Runion, Brett Runion and wife, Alisha and Melissa Gallagher; and great-granddaughter, Tallianna Richy-Miller. Additional family includes nephew, Wayne; nieces, Lynda, Patricia, Monica and Michelle; and two great-nieces, Chelsea and Lexi. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Joan's name. Two celebrations of life will be in Las Vegas and in New Jersey at later dates. Family and friends will be notified when arrangements are finalized. The cremation will be in Las Vegas, and her final resting place will be next to her husband, James, at the Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing N.J. Love you mom!! See you on the other side.

Dear grandma Joan, I wish I could have been at your (two!) celebrations of life. You certainly knew how to have a good time. Like the time Jeff graduated in St. Louis and you thought you may just be part of the early portion of the evening-well you were the last one standing! I miss you and love you forever.

I love and miss you Grandma Joan! So many memories of early childhood gatherings, many Thanksgivings, and Christmas Eve dinners (and concerts with Brett and Jeff :) ), I always loved your hugs, your smile, your heart. Truly can't wait to see you on other side. Be at peace and I know you, as one of my second Grandma's are looking down on me. With love, Andi Boone.

Dearest Joan, thank you for the many years of service at St Rose, Siena, at the front desk of Same Day Surgery. You were not only one of the best volunteers we had the pleasure of working with, you made us smile and most often laugh out loud at your stories. We knew it was going to be a good day when you arrived in your crisply pressed peach colored smock and your gorgeous, tasteful array of jewelry. Holidays were so much better if you were there. You brought joy to patients, families and employees equally. It was difficult to be in a bad mood or to be sad, tired, frustrated when you sat down at the desk. You were a delight and we have missed you since the day you were no longer negotiate the hospital. We love and miss you to this day and can still hear your wonderful infectious laugh. Love always, Gig Fredendall, Former Admin Assistant, Perioperative Services.
