Lydia was born February 8, 1923, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and attended Western Hills High School, where she was an exceptional tennis player. In the early 1970's, after 30 years away from the game, she resumed her passion for tennis. She taught in youth tennis clinics, was the winner of numerous tournaments and leagues including the Nevada State Women's Singles Championship, and played at a high level into her 80s. Lydia was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Malm, Sr.; and sons, Edward C. Malm, Jr., Thomas Gregory Malm and Jeffrey Paul Malm. She is survived by her sons, James Malm (Laurie), Robert Malm and Christopher Malm (Lisa); daughter, Julie Malm Ambrose (Joe); daughter-in-law, Debbie Malm; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
