PHILIP NORTON Philip Loran Norton, age 68, passed away Saturday May 11, 2019. He was born July 17, 1950, in Weiser, ID. He was the oldest of 10 children born to Joesph and Marilyn Norton. His family moved to Las Vegas in 1964. He is an alumni of Clark High School. In 1971 he started working at UMC Hospital in the emergency room. While there he met the love of his life, Phyllis Frei Yelinek. After they met he worked for Mercy Ambulance and then as a security guard at the Marina Hotel. They were married in 1977. He later worked for IGT in security until 2004 when he became disabled. He gained many friends along the way and enjoyed his large family. He was preceded in death by his father, Joesph C. Norton; his brother, Stephan; his stepchildren, Wendy Yelinek; and stepson, Larry Yelinek. He is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Phyllis; his mother, Marilyn Norton; his brothers, Joseph, Chris and Jon; his sisters, Pat, Connie, Alice, Susan and Michelle; stepdaughters, Toni Greer and Julie Calico; plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Viewing will be at noon Thu., May 16 , with services following at Affordable Cremation and Burial Services, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102. Burial be at 11 a.m. Fri., May 17, at the Santa Clara Cemetery in Santa Clara, UT.
