ROBERT CURRY Robert Curry of Robert Curry Studios, Las Vegas, passed away Monday, May 6, at 66. He was born in Buffalo, NY, finished studies in design and fine arts at SUNY Buffalo and was a journeyman sign painter and muralist in California and Las Vegas. He produced art all over the world that can be found from Knott's Berry Farm to Texas Station's casino to the LOVE mural at the Mirage. He was featured in the Signpainter movie. Treasured highlights of his life were meeting and working with Don Treece & Big Daddy Ed Roth; working with Penn-Teller and meeting Paul McCartney while painting the LOVE mural. Robert will be deeply missed by siblings, David Curry, Jim Curr, Jane Curr; nieces, Tammy Huerta, Wendy Curr; great-niece, Rachel Huerta; as well as extended family, Rod Treece, Ron Yans, Hector Huerta and Hector Huerta Jr. Robert was a very talented artist but is best known for his amazing optimism and positive disposition. We will keep his light with us always.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Robert. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure when it fills your heart with love and brings you joy. May find comfort in Jesus promise of the hope of everlasting life on earth at John 6:40.

I wish I had the chance to know you personally but I feel honored to have seen a very small portion of the work you created in San Luis Obispo. Jane took me to see a mural of yours and she was so proud of you and all the wonderfully creative pieces you had created. Her sisterly pride and love was clear for all to see as she told everyone how her brother had created that mural!

Your life's work was to create beauty in a world that doesn't always appreciate it but I believe you have created a lasting legacy that will live on, not just through your art, but in the lives of all you touched.

I know that the many life experiences and memories you shared with your sister Jane, (both through the good times and the bad), will always be held tightly to her heart.

You are dearly missed by many and your passing created a vast hole in their lives that can never be filled. You were greatly loved.
