I'm so saddened Sam!!! I just found out thank you Valerie for calling me. I was his hairstylist and he was my favorite client to speak to we had many laughs and talked about so much stuff. I seen you November 2Nd after you got released from the hospital and you came straight for a haircut and felt so much better. Never knew that was the last time I would see you! Now your wife will have you and you will always be remembered love ya always Sam.

To know Dr. Walston was an honor. For just over 30 years I worked with him in airing his radio broadcast. He became a very good friend, and I will miss him deeply. I know he is with our Master now, along with his beloved Barbara. To lose you hurts those who loved you, but you're in Heaven now and that's where you have worked to be for so many years.

Mom, Uncle Sam, and I at the Grand Canyon
Uncle Sam always made me feel special calling often out of the blue just to check on how I was doing. His honesty, openness, and testimony, gave me strength in the darkest hours. His energy, laugh, and love were infectious. I'll never forget the long summers as a child I spent in his gardens and woods, the long church meetings on hot summer days filled with soulful music, or the beautiful hiking trips he led us on in Nevada when we went out to visit. He truly made those around him want to experience life in the fullest. Until we meet again....

It was my pleasure to have worked with Sam for over twenty years. For five of those years we worked side by side. I always found Sam to be eager to help solve "the crisis of the day". Sam's pleasant personality often brought contentious circumstances to affable conclusions.
I know Sam will be missed but may you find comfort in the sorrow that you bear, knowing there are many hearts that understand and care.

Please accept my heart felt sympathy for the loss of your beloved Samuel. When someone we love falls asleep in death the memories we have of them become our treasure so may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends and may those cherished memories of a life well lived and Gods promise at John 6:40 ease the pain of your grief during this difficult time.
