SANDRA GERSH Sandra "Sandy" Marjorie Gersh, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully February 2, 2019. She was born March 9, 1941. Sandy, who worked for the City of Detroit, the Oak Park School District (Michigan) and Sanyo Fisher Corporation, loved mahjong, seashells, cruises, coupons, movies and her family. She wasn't, however, fond of earthquakes, wildfires or anyone else driving. A legion of friends, loved ones, and acquaintances describe Sandy as, wonder- ful", "sweet", "funny", "beautiful", "just so special", and "I loved her". She'd ask anyone wearing Detroit sporting apparel, "Are you from Michigan?" She made incredible salmon patties, and could carry on four conversations simultaneously. Quick to smile, Sandy could light up a room and leaves innumerable warm memories for generations to remember. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Aaron Lenhoff; her sister, Elaine Goldstein; and devoted husband, of 48 years, Allen Gersh. She leaves two sons, Howard and Julie (Noah, Zac, and Evan), and Andy and Sharyn (Owen and Leo); and two siblings, Saul Lenhoff and Joyce Torby. Her funeral will be at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, February 6 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, NV 89005. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. IS 55:12
