Virginia Irene (Hart) Kitterman, 90, passed away on October 17, 2017. Born January 5, 1927 in Sweetwater, Texas, she had lived in Las Vegas since 1952. Prior to suffering a stroke in 2014, Virginia was an avid bridge player and had become an American Bridge Association Life Master. She also volunteered hundreds of hours at Desert Springs Hospital and was a long time member and Past President of Beta Sigma Phi. Virginia had become a resident of the Heritage Springs Assisted Living community in 2014 and had made many wonderful friends with the residents and wonderful staff of the facility.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Kitterman; her sons, Samuel Kitterman Jr. and Richard Vanbuskirk; her 12 siblings which include Las Vegan Cindy Venita Sacomano. She is survived by her sister, Venice Zasloff, also of Las Vegas; her daughters, Debbie Burgos and Peggy Clark; her son-in-law, Bill Burgos; her daughter-in-law, Beverly Kitterman; her grandchildren, Brittany Burgos, Stephanie Collins, Shelley Aguilar, Stephen Kitterman, Kimberly Lindsay and Tracy Hambro; her great grandchildren, Geoffrey Collins and Amelia Aguilar; and several nieces and nephews.

Virginia will always be remembered for her free spirit, beautiful smile and a warm hearty laugh that could fill a room.

Her passing is heart breaking but we can all take solace that she is finally at peace with her beloved husband, Sam and her sons, Sam Jr. and Richard.

A service will be held on Monday, November 27th at 10:00 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends between 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. at the Streets of New York Restaurant located at 7570 Norman Rockwell Lane, Las Vegas Nevada. In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Virginia's favorite Veterans' charity, Race To Erase 22, and donations can be mailed to the non-profit organization in care of her daughter, Debbie Burgos, 6161 Jo Marcy Drive, LV NV 89131.
