Dear Lisa and family. That is a great picture of Virgil. That is exactly as I remember him. He was so special to me and the Richard Elwell family. He was always there when we needed him; including almost every Air Force Base we were stationed at. So many memories of you and Virg, Lisa. So many that I could not list them all. I particularly remember being in Texas and driving to one of those Texas Honki-Tonks; probably Gilly's. Virg said, pull over I have to check the trunk. I though he was really checking the trunk; not what was inside it...Gilly's being a BYOB honki-tonk at the time.. Also, he was great at the Texas 2-Step. Have thought of you both as the years went by, even if I didn't get to see you all that often. GodSpeed Virg, and love to Lisa and kids. Marie (Elwell) Pishnak.

Virg Elwell accepting the James S. Cogswell Award
Dear Lisa and Elwell Family, We are deeply sorry for your loss. Having spent 23 years at Arcata, Virg left an indelible imprint on his co-workers and the company. I will always remember him for his integrity, professionalism, and kindness. Under Virg's leadership, the company received its first James S. Cogswell Award - the U.S. Defense Security Service's highest award for outstanding industrial security program. We are so fortunate to have had Virg as part of the Arcata family. He will be missed. Tim
