My sincere condolences. Doc helped me through an extremely rough time in my life in 1999. He was my flight surgeon in the Air Force. Doc will never know how appreciative I am for his help...

I'm sorry the hear of your loss, I have so many fond memories of Dr LaTourette, letting me shoot his 12gauge for the first time, driving his Ford tracker and helping him around the house. I'm just glad he never saw us jump off the patio roof into the pool (ha ha). He was the best and I'll never forget the good times I had with him.

I served in the Air Force Reserve with Dr. LaTourette. He was respected, trusted, and loved by his colleagues. His life was a tribute to his medical licensures and country. Despite the many stresses of maintaining civilian and military careers simultaneously, his "tough poise" was both comforting and inspiring. On a hectic day, it was a pleasant respite just passing Gary in the hallway. I feel a sense of loss, discovering that he has now departed us. As a Christian, I expect to see him again -- in the halls of heaven. God Bless You, Dr. Latourette, for the immensely positive impact you had on your patients and military colleagues. -- Cathleen Handlin, Executive Officer for the 730 MAS and 445MAW, Norton AFB, CA

So sorry to hear of Dr. Latourette´s passing! I worked with him in the Air Force Reserves at Norton AFB for several years! He also sent me to Dr. Neil Johnson, a neurosurgeon, who completed successful back and neck surgery! RIP Doc... you earned your wings!

I remember Gary from Redlands High School, but found him again unexpectedly on a night at Glendale Adventist Hospital when he saved the life of a Los Angeles police officer who had been shot. Whatever honors he may have earned, none can surpass that night. I am truly saddened by his passing.
