JOHN LUSK John R. Lusk, a long-time attorney, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Valley Hospital. John was born Dec. 24, 1943, in Port Arthur, Texas, the son of Leon and Lewella Lusk. He graduated from DePauw University with a BA and went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin, and LLM from NYU. John's speciality was in taxation and litigation. John is survived by his loving partner, Trudy Duncan; sister, Jean (Frank) Forsythe of Westerville, Ohio; and nieces, Wendy VanDyk of San Diego, and Tracy Garcia of Westerville; and nephew, Greg Forsythe of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; Also surviving are Trudy's sons, Barry Duncan of Reno, and Scott (Jennifer) Duncan of Las Vegas, and their daughter, Chloe. There will be celebration of John's life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Desert Spring United Methodist Church, with Pastor Gerber officiating. Burial is pending in the columbarium at Alamo Heights Methodist Church, San Antonio, where his parents are inurned. John will be long-remembered by family and friends for his dedication, generosity, strong work ethic and extraordinary wit and sense of humor.
