REV. DR. LEE DOMEZ Rev. Dr. Lee Domez, 81, of Las Vegas, made his transition Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008. He was born April 7, 1927, in Los Angeles, and was a six-year resident of Nevada. Rev. Lee graduated from the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and later studied at the Académie des Beaux in Paris, France. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, assisted in the identification and return of art stolen by the Nazis and was commissioned to create paintings of the final resting places of soldiers killed in Europe. His art graces the walls of private collections around the world. Upon his return to the United States, he became a loving and joyous teacher and Minister of Religious Science, serving the West Valley Church in Canoga Park, Calif., and the Los Angeles Third Church. He founded the Absolute Being Science of Mind Center. Rev. Lee retired to Las Vegas in 2002. Rev. Lee is survived by his life-partner, of 37 years, William H. Aunchman; and numerous nephews and cousins in California. A private cremation was previously held Tuesday, Jan. 13. His ashes will be scattered at Monterey Bay, Calif.
