ROBERT DALE BALES Dec. 4, 1939 - Dec, 14, 2020 Robert Dale Bales passed away Dec. 14, 2020 at the age of 82. He was born in 1939 in Floris, Iowa. At the age of 17 he joined the US Navy. He served 4 yrs. active duty and 2 yrs. in the reserves. He served on the USS Kearsarge and the USS Proctor. His last base was at the US Naval Amphibious Base on Coronado Island, CA. Robert resided in Newbury Park, CA while raising his family. He retired from General Telephone (GTE) after 30 yrs. as a field engineer and moved to Las Vegas, NV. Robert has now joined the love of his life Sherrie Bales, parents Delphin and Marita Bales, brothers Dean and Larry Bales, granddaughter Brandi Anderson, and many loved ones. He is survived by his children: Robert C. Bales and spouse Corin, Chris S. Bales, Kim Petricka and spouse Ray, Brian Edgar and spouse Gretchin, Steven Edgar and spouse Nina, Lisa Vines and spouse Bill. Grandchildren: Samantha Cummings and spouse Nick, Raymond Petricka, Ariell Petricka, Keanu Edgar, Cori Garfias and spouse Christopher, Steven Edgar Jr., Christina Galajan, Jason Gschwender, Jeff Vines and spouse Brandi. Great Grandchildren: Bryson Gschwender, Paxon and Tycen Vines. Siblings: Bill Bales and family, Carl Bales and family, Martha Clark and family and families of Dean Bales and Larry Bales. Robert was richly blessed by his loving family and friends.
