RONALD HARGETT Ronald Herschel Hargett was born on December 19, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to parents Herschel Kelly Hargett and Irene Madaline (Marie) Boyer. He died on February 2, 2021 from COVID-19 complications. He began working with the US Forest Service in 1957 in the Angeles National Forest, where he served as a Firefighter Captain, then joined Pomona Police Department in 1971 as a patrol officer, rising through the ranks to Detective, Sergeant, and Lieutenant, ultimately being promoted to Captain in 1986. He also volunteered as a fire warden and a Reserve Sheriff throughout his career. He retired as Police Captain in 1996 to Henderson, Nevada with his wife Pauline. Ron is survived by his wife of 32 years Pauline Hargett, sister Patricia Irene Hargett Bryant, children Ronald D. Hargett (Kathy), Donald H. Hargett (Marlene), Robert B. Hargett (Christina), Bonnie M. Patterson (Robert), children by marriage Dolores Ramos, Maria Teresa Ramos, eight grandchildren, and four great-grand-children.
